Located in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, BCS HRM & Salarisadministratie B.V. specializes in payroll administration and HRM applications for small and medium-sized enterprises. Founded as a family business 35 years ago, the company is currently headed by father and son Roel and Bas Praagman.


To streamline their HR processes and relieve the personnel department from routine tasks, companies increasingly involve their employees in the related workflows. They ask them to update their own master data, keep track of their own working hours and capture their own holiday requests. Now that more and more employees are using smartphones or other mobile devices, it seemed a good idea to give end-users mobile access to Delta HRP. This is why BCS decided to develop a mobile app, as a new access channel for their software solution.


The original Delta product was developed in Delphi and rewriting it as part of the mobile project too costly. With Servoy existing business logic in Delphi and data can easily be reused to create mobile applications in a very lean way. For existing users, the mobile application would be a useful and convenient alternative to the desktop and web clients. For potential new customers, this additional channel to the back-office HRM capabilities would make the application even more attractive. Like this, the mobile app would offer added value to both existing and new customers – and help BCS to sell their Delta solutions more easily, especially as competitive products could not offer such mobile access.
