We predicted this last year when after Win32, WinForms and WPF Microsoft announced moving to Silverlight as key display technology and now it’s confirmed: Silverlight is no longer the key focus for desktop/browser apps but html5 is. Too bad if you just built your strategy around Silverlight. Maybe a good time to switch to a vendor that doesn’t render all that code that you just wrote useless every few years.
At Servoy we understand that you don’t want to rewrite all the time which is exactly why from a single codebase you can deploy to all modern platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux but also mobile platforms such as iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Nokia, Palm and more. Servoy’s ready for the future, if you are: join us!

For the fourth year in a row, Servoy will be a Gold Sponsor and Exhibitor at Southwest Fox — the annual conference hosted for FoxPro users. Developers who have used FoxPro in the past are finding that they love Servoy. Microsoft has announced they will no longer be revving this popular 4GL tool; and will stop support for the product entirely in 2015. As a result, many FoxPro users are looking for the “next step”. Servoy is a great alternative.
Be sure to stop by the Servoy booth, where Ken Levy will be presenting two special demo-centric vendor sessions:
– Friday, Oct. 15 at 11:30am-12:45pm
– Saturday, Oct. 16 at 11:30am-12:45pm
